BAKER'S ARMS Somerford Keynes GL7 6DN |
Not quite the quaint village local of old but more of a bistro restaurant with a decent garden. Three pumps in action with John Courage in resident (bottom of our taste list!) and another session ale, so all eyes on the third 'guest' pump when we enter.

BATHURST ARMS North Cerney, Cirencester GL7 7BZ |
A 'local' atmosphere with diners suitably catered for. At least two pumps with popular support for Gloucestershire breweries. Allegedly other brews are served but whenever we have called it is always the same two - just unlucky on our part it would seem.
Hook Norton's Bathurst Brew / Cotswold Way

BEAR INN Bisley GL6 7BD |
A wonderful pub with plenty of Cotswold village atmosphere, divided into two main bar areas and one seperate dining room. The choice of ales is fairly consistent.
Bombardier / St.Austell's Tribute / Tetley Cask

|
BEAR OF RODBOROUGH Rodborough Common GL5 5DE |
A large dominant hotel on the Common with a rather cosy welcoming bar area and large grounds including a croquet lawn. Four pumps displaying a good range of ales including local breweries.
Butcombe Blonde / Goff's Tournament / Goff's World Cup 2010 / Stroud's Grand in Your Hand

BELL INN Frampton on Severn GL2 7EP |
Situated in a scenic spot on the famous Frampton village green, this 'bistro' pub is certainly popular, especially in summer. Three pumps that can vary but never seem to diversify and excel as of old.
Butcombe Bitter / Mole's Ruckin' Mole / Mole's Elmo's Fire

BELL INN Shurdington GL51 4XQ |
Back to basics with the feeling of being in a pub rather than a restaurant. A much keener interest in providing real ale is evident but with four pumps always advertised it suffers greatly from reversed pump clip syndrome - Butcombe Gold and St. Austell's Tribute suffering this fate on the last visit.
Bath's Gem / Black Sheep
@ 21st November 2009
|
BELL Sapperton GL7 6LE |
Definitely a restaurant rather than a pub these days, but still providing four ales from which to select ( all at restaurant prices plus some!). Choose the right time to visit and an unreserved table might even be forthcoming.
Bath Gem / Otter Bitter / Uley Old Spot / Wickwar's Spring Ale
@ 30th March 2010
|
BELL Selsley GL5 5JY |
Deceptive pub with seperate bar / dining area and wonderful views across to Rodborough. Has a lot to promote it but seems to prefer the 'local' status, relying on walkers from the Common or glider pilots from the nearby airstrip to provide passing trade. Guest beers are no longer available, relying on two standard selections.
Charles Wells Bombardier / Otter Bitter

BLACK HORSE INN Amberley GL5 5AL |
Not signposted at all, but well worth searching out, deep in the village of Amberley with terrific views across the Stroud Valley. A wonderful array of ales with something to suit everyone, although its popularity can often mean a few reversed pump clips. Parking can be a problem but plenty of space by the war memorial if you don't mind the wander down the lane. Well worth the effort to visit.
Butcombe Bitter / Nailsworth's Old Rocky / Sharp's Doom Bar / Timothy Taylor Landlord

BLACK HORSE Cranham GL4 8HP |
A popular village pub embedded in the heart of Cranham. If it wasn't for the atrocious car park that looks like a lunar landscape, then we would visit more frequently, but we've got more respect for our cars! Not quite the force it used to be when there was a selection of up to five ales, more often than not there will be a few session type beers now.
Doom Bar / Hancocks HB
@ 23rd February 2010

BLACK HORSE INN Naunton GL54 3AD |
Homely and secluded pub making a big effort on the cuisine, but exuding rustic charm and atmosphere. Donnington country so don't expect anything else but always an excellent pint.
Donningon BB / Donnington SBA

BOAT INN Ashleworth GL19 4HZ |
Supreme Champion and winner of many Real Ale awards. Resting slightly on its laurels nowadays, but normally at least four ales to choose from on the blackboard and one day can be as different to the next although there are favoured breweries. As the ales are served on tap from an adjoining room rather than a cellar, our preference is for off-summer visits as the ale is cooler, but sitting by the river on a balmy evening can still hold sway.
Church End's Gravedigger's Mild / RCH East Street Cream / Slater's Original / Wye Valley's Silver Lining

BUTCHER'S ARMS Eldersfield GL19 4NX |
Formerley the Greyhound Inn, the place is getting some TLC at long last under the new owners. A quaint, old fashioned, rural pub serving beer on-tap. Normally two ales (but only one when we visited) that vary from week to week with ale festivals not uncommon.
Wye Valley Bitter

BUTCHER'S ARMS Oakridge Lynch GL6 7NZ |
No longer a free house but now under the auspices of Wadworth with hopes that it can attain the achievements of yesteryear. Obviously Wadworth in abundance but nice to see 'proper' guests appearing some of the time.
Adnam's Yuletide / Wadworth's Henry IPA / Wadworth's 6X
@ 20th February 2010
|
BUTCHER'S ARMS Sheepscombe GL6 7RH |
Atmosphere is no extra charge. Superb location amongst the Cotswold hills although parking can be a problem as the pub has become overly successful to the tourist and locals alike. Up to three pumps that can vary from time to time.
Butcombe Bitter / Otter Bitter / Wye Valley's Butty Bach
