MiserdenMap Directions
A traditional and atmospheric pub with two regular, but unfortunately bland, ales available. A guest ale can be present but they are certainly not as adventurous under the new ownership where a reliance on Greene King brews is a worry.

Stunning views across to Selsley make this well worth a visit, but only two standard ales on offer these days.

A pleasant enough pub that serves well as a local. Up to four pumps to choose from on occasion with a slight variation from time to time.

ApperleyMap Directions
Like many pubs along the river, when it's winter there may be only one ale on, but in summer there could be up to three. The selection can be changed around a bit, with a Wickwar, Whittington or Hook Norton offering, a travelled guest such as St Austell's Tribute or maybe something quite unusual.

Colesbourne
Has undergone a makeover, tastefully thought out and adding a certain brightness. A Wadworth house with IPA and 6X in residence plus one other (Bishop's Tipple / Summersault) if the clip is turned your way.

Extended from it's original tiny layout to accommodate a restaurant, the unique cosiness is still retained. If you're not in the lounge, though, enquire what ales are on as they're not always displayed in the bar.

A peaceful country hotel in an idylic location that has seen a few management changes recently. Excellent guests were a feature in the past when the landlord new his real ale, but now the cuisine is dominant!

CROWN OF CRUCISMap Directions
Ampney Crucis
The tranquil Ampney Brook at the back of the car park makes a pretty setting for the hotel. For an olde world building there seems to be an overdose of pine inside that detracts from a truly authentic Cotswold atmosphere. The choice of ale changes very occasionally, but sometimes too bland. Cotswold Way has saved the day on occasion or Doom Bar as below.

One of the old fashioned pubs tucked out of sight but well known through its connection with the Sapperton Tunnel on the Stroudwater Canal. A Wadworth house where any seasonal or special Wadworth brew can usually be found with the occasional guest.

Winners of many CAMRA awards and has up to eight pumps to welcome you. Even the top dogs have an off day though and by their own very high standards, our last visit was a sad occasion. All well known brands that seem to have become resident, no interesting ales from afar and not one from a local brewery. Let's hope that this phase is short lived and back to normal soon, please!

Cirencester
Not a particularly welcoming pub from the outside, but one that is near the top of our 'favourite' list. It's not for the nationally available standard servings we go, but to sample the guests. Wychwood, Wye Valley, Robinsons etc., etc., - always a surprise and always an excellent surprise.
