VILLAGE INN Nailsworth GL6 0HH |
A unique experience. A proper traditional pub catering for the whole community with the added benefit of its own brewery. Many of their own brand ales plus guests. Excellent!
Alestock / Artist's Ale / The Mayor's Bitter / Old Rocky / Town Crier / Goff's Mordred / Severn Vale's Session / Vale Best Bitter
@ 9th March 2010

WEIGHBRIDGE INN Longfords, Minchinhampton GL6 9AL |
Home of the famous '2 in 1 pies'. Two small lounge bars and two more small dining areas, but if you just want to drink, there are bar stools provided - table reservations are the order of the day. Alternatively, visit in summer and enjoy the extensive patios at the rear of the building. Two regular ales with another constantly changing guest e.g.'Stroud Organic' below
Stroud's Organic Ale / Uley Old Spot / 6X
@ 25th August 2009
|
WHEATSHEAF INN Cricklade Street, Cirencester GL7 1HY |
Wall to wall televisions and plenty of viewers when the 'footy' is on. Putting that aside there is a half decent selection of ales in the winter months. Any other time can see a less enthusiastic display.
Butcombe Bitter / Butcombe Brunel / Fuller's London Pride / Marston's Pedigree
@ 6th April 2010
|
WHITE HART INN Broadoak, Newnham GL14 1JB |
Has seen better days no doubt and being a Greene King pub, the ales are never going to entice (especially with reversed pump clips a speciality). The best course of action is to choose a sunny day and sit out on on the 'esplanade', enjoy the majestic views of the Severn and it's sandbanks across to Arlingham and not worry too much about the ale!
Greene King IPA / Old Speckled Hen
@ 8th May 2010
|
WHITE HART INN Winchcombe GL54 5LJ |
Still the White Hart despite the 'Sausage and Wine' logo. A huge disappointment on the ale front with only two pumps now; Bass (never a favourite) accompanied with a very tired Jouster. Must do better.
Bass / Jouster
@ 11th November 2008
|
WHITE HART Ashton Keynes SN6 6NX |
A deceptively long building with rooms either end of the narrow bar area, one being the restaurant. A well looked after and popular village pub which seems to have settled on two standard ales as below.
Cotswold Way / 6X
@ 7th April 2009
|
WILD DUCK Ewen, Cirencester GL7 6BY |
One of the most atmospheric places you could possibly find. A large bar area with plenty of seating and a restaurant scattered around many nooks and crannies; the courtyard being an added attraction for the good weather. No longer the force it used to be when the 'Old Peculiar' flowed; now unfortunately, mainly Greene King beers and their associated brewery 'guests'.
Abbot Ale / Butcombe Bitter / Duck Pond Bitter / Greene King Ale Pril Fool / Old Speckled Hen
@ 27th April 2010
|
WOOLPACK INN Slad, Stroud GL6 7QA |
The famous 'Laurie Lee' pub that needs no introduction with the character and ambience of the place deeply rooted. Uley beers are the norm, supplemented with guest ales.
Butcombe Blonde / Stroud Budding / Uley Bitter / Uley Old Spot / Uley Pig's Ear
@ 12th August 2009
